CLAY AND MATCHA

A one-session pottery experience.

An afternoon of clay, rituals, presence, and mindful creation.

You’ll be gently guided through the process of throwing your own chawan (matcha bowl) on the pottery wheel, a one-of-a-kind piece, thoughtfully created to become part of your daily rituals.

As you work with the clay, you’ll be served a freshly prepared ceremonial matcha.
An invitation to slow down, focus on each movement, and let yourself be carried by the quiet calm that emerges through creating.

About the instructor

Selena is a ceramic artist who brings a calm and thoughtful approach to teaching. At the pottery wheel, she will guide you with patience and clarity, helping you build confidence while enjoying the learning process. Her classes focus on slowing down, observing the process, and learning through gentle guidance, creating a welcoming, mindful, and enjoyable space.

General information

• The workshop is available in Italian, Portuguese, and English.
• Duration: 2 hours.
• Each participant will create and take home one finished piece, which will be ready for collection approximately 4–6 weeks after the workshop. If needed, shipping is available for an additional €15.
• All materials and firing are included.
• Suitable for beginners, and all experience levels are welcome.

Cancellation policy

• Full refund if the workshop is cancelled up to 2 months before the scheduled date.
• After that, a 50% refund is available, or you may transfer your booking to a future workshop (subject to availability).
• Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 30 days before the workshop are non-refundable, and the booking will be forfeited.
